Default possible cat problem?

Ok, I have a 2002 z28 and this afternoon i did a WOT run thru first and second gear, and the car wouldn't shift at around 6K it would shift at like 4K. After this run i noticed immediately a strong odor of gas inside the car. After i got out of my car i noticed also a almost rotten smell.. like rotten eggs. What can cause this? I also cant even bark the tires from a stop with traction control off. What is wrong here?

Thanks.

Are you sure you do not have a possum lodged between your driveshaft?

just kidding

Yes that does sound like cat/s are plugged, any codes being thrown. You should take it to an exhaust shop to have them look at it. Do you need cats? I mean in your county.

Remember if it is a cat look under recalls, I think 2000-2002 cats had an automatic extended warranty for 10 year 100,000 miles! I had mine done a year ago, under warranty.

Cats always stink after a WOT run. Doubt its your cats.
