Would Comp Cams 918 be enough?

Would Comp Cams 918 be enough?

I am planning an engine rebuild and for the top end I am looking at TSP 5.3L stage 2.5 Heads milled to 59cc and a Trick Flow cam with 228 int./230 exh and 0.585 in. lift on both intake and exhaust. My question is would the Comp Cams 918 (.600 lift) single spring would be enough or should I step up to a PRC double spring (.660 Lift).

I know that it is best to be safe than sorry but I don’t know if the PRC sprigs will be overkill and put unnecessary strain on the rest of the valve train. Someone who knows their stuff please chime in as I really don’t know much in regards to springs.

The 918s will be fine.

You could use 918, but for piece of mind I would do the duals.I have a smaller cam than you have and I will be changing my pac 1218(same as 918's) to the duals pretty soon.
