4.100" Stroker crankshaft users come in!
4.100" Stroker crankshaft users come in! Any problems with installs in a LQ4/LQ9 block? What, if any, are the advantages of such a stroke? I can get a good deal on one and I don't want to save money on a crank if it's NOT worth it. What CID can one expect with a 4.030" bore? Shelf pistons or custom pistons necessary? Thanks for your input in advance.
I have no problems with mine. Make sure you get pistons built specifically for longer strokes. I got Wiseco pistons because they had a specific piston with the ring packs moved up enough that they will not protrude out the bottom of the bore with the 4.100" and 4.125" strokes. You will have to clearance the front of the oil pan if your connecting rod bolts are large; and you will need to space the windage tray down with washers to clear.
4.03" bore and 4.100" stroke comes to 418.3".

Pistons were on the shelf 4.07" designed for a 4.125" crank. So that means mine are just a little in the hole (.0025") instead of @ .010" out of the hole at TDC. It also means they are farther from coming out the bottom also. The added piston to valve clearance is just a nice side effect 
. They have -12cc dishes if I remember corectly.
I have 62cc chambers and Cometic .040" gaskets so the compression is nearly 11:1. @10.8 I think.
