Default Cams...

I'm looking at a few cams. For a street/strip car. LQ4, L92 heads, carb. I found an article (http://www.planetlsx.com/vehicles/Ch...107)..he's running a stock bottom end LQ4 and stock L92 heads with a custom cam, which I found, the MS3 and MS4 cams are about the same as he has. all this and runs 9.95's on 93 octane.

So, which cam? MS33, MS4, or any of the Comp Cams LSr cams?

If you are looking to make the car just a strip car then MS3/4 would be good, but as for daily driver I doubt it unless you get a good tune. Of course it all up to you goodluck either way!

something you need to consider regarding ET is the setup; car (weight), suspension, trans, etc etc etc. i wouldn't take the ET of a similar motor into account at all when considering a cam.

i would contact a sponsor and have them spec a custom cam for you. i definately would not use an off the shelf cam spec'd for a stock longblock 346 engine with cathedral port heads (ls1) in your l92 headed 6 liter. just my opinion..
