Default LS6 upgrades

I'm putting a LS6 and the whole drivetrain out of a 03 Z06 in my 56 nomad. The motor has about 41,000 miles and I know it comes with 405hp. The cars not going to be a daily driver but I do plan on driving it quite a bit to shows and such and want to get decent m.p.g. but get a little more out of the motor. What are some good upgrades...cam, valvetrain etc.

Absolutely do a cam. Depending on the size of the cam....then probably the valvetrain also....I did dual coil springs, LS7 lifters, new pr's, titanium seats....whole nine yards on mine, and my cam isn't even what you would call "big". Get some work done to your heads, or get some good aftermarket ones. And remember its all in the tune!!!
