Any info of flycutting pistons?

Default Any info of flycutting pistons?

I can use a stock damaged head as the guide if someone knows where to get the bits. Depth of the reliefs will affect compression I assume.

Is the intake valve more likely the culprit with a 224/230 cam with 590 lift and 112 lsa?

Any info would be appreciated

Unless your heads are milled a bunch, you probably do not have to flycut that setup. What makes you think that it is necessary? I have never heard of a cam <230* needing to be flycut. Just curious, Shawn

x-er cam and wanted insurance in case of float. The heads are ls6 and not milled but I use .025 cometic gaskets. If I go to a bigger cam, it would be great to know I have them cut and don't have to remove the heads. Thanks for the feedback.

You can rent or buy the bits direct from Isky, and use a stock head as a guide (I'm pretty sure that the seat will have to be removed). You can go a maximum of about .080 into a stock piston. BTW, why such a thin gasket? Good luck, Shawn
