If you have an LS6 intake that would be a good start.

sup man, i went to school in huntville a couple years ago i live in selma now, trust me you want a stall b4 cam because the cam you would get for stock size stall will be pretty small and a waist of money i have a yank ss3600 drives like stock but pulls like hell when i want it to, a stall is the single best mod for a auto car it knocks .5 off your track times

I would do the stall first, you will feel the difference with just a stall. Then save up for a cam.

During normal driving you wont even notice the stall, but when you nail it you will know its there!

Im running the ASA cam with a 3200 stall in my daily driver. Sounds nasty, has great street manners and plenty of power.

Aight thanks guys I went and nchecked my intake last night when I got off work the part number on the drivers side is 12573572 which if I'm correct is the LS6 manifold right? If so I'm gonna order a CAI and some LT's and a stall third and dyno it in the spring to see where I get. Then it'll probably be LS6 ported heads and a cam which i dont know which one I'll get yet but anyway...hows that sound?

Oh and as far as LS6 heads go...I know the valve size in the LS1 and LS6 are the same correct? Well besides the lighter weight valves in the LS6 and heavier springs are the runners or volume different?

ls1 heads are like 66cc i believe ande ls6 heads are 64.5 i think it is, may not be exact but i know im in the ball park, u can find it in a search engine....i believe the runners are the same but flow more so they are ported out obviously...although not ported bc thats how they are cast, anyway you catch my drift.

Yeah I found it...LS1 has 67cc chambers and the LS6 has 63 which I'm assuming is wha jumps the comp. up. I need to find the head gasket thickness difference between the two if there is any. And I found out the intake port is shaped differently about two inches in the port against the wall which is where the flow is gainedI'm guessing. http://www.corvettefever.com/techart...ads/index.html has a great article assuming its all true but anyways it's laid out very informatively.

The '04 GTO came with an LS6 intake manifold and LS6 springs in the heads. The stock 241 heads are 10.1:1 compression and the LS6 (243) heads will be 10.5:1. The intake runners are larger on the 243 heads and exhaust ports are "D" shaped for more efficent flow. Yes both heads use the same size valve diameter, however the 243 heads from the factory used .050 longer valve stem to make up for the smaller cam base circle using the same length push rods. The factory 243 exhaust valve was sodium filled to carry off heat. The head gasket thickness is the same (same gasket in '04). 243 heads due to the larger intake runner volume will make the engine a bit "mushier" at low speeds (intake velocity slows down) and gain more on on top end. Hope this helps.

Hell yeah man thanks a lot for the info. I'll probably end up getting some good LS6 heads as far it it looks now but I'm gonna start throwing bolt ons at her first just to see where that gets. We're having a big dyno event a friend and I are trying to put together but it wont be for a year until the fall of next year so I got some time lol.
