Default aluminum block to iron block knock sensor question

i am posting this for a buddy. hes dropping in a 402 iron block to replace his ls1 and needs to know if he needs to buy LQ9 knock sensors or will his LS1 sensors be fine? are they the same part number or what?

Just bolt everything over from the LS1.

I usually replace the harness cause it's cheap and every one I have seen is usually falling apart.

That's interesting. My 1999 Formula had no harness problems when I put the LQ9 in it last month. I just rewrapped some of the electrical tape. Guess I am lucky.
