Default When I do install new heads and cam....

I've got a set of the PP LS6 style heads and the 231/237 cam waiting to go on the SS next spring. I've been doing a lot of reading on the install on LS1howto.com. I understand everything pretty good. One question I do have though is do you really have to completely remove the headers from the car or will they lower enough to get to the bolts on the heads without a lot of problems. I have the SLP longtubes and I know what a pita they were to get on. So to have to remove them would be just as big a pita. I know there is not a lot room in there, but if the car is on ramps, will they just slide down on the side of the engine enough to be able to get to the outside head bolts?

I have done head swaps without totally removing the manifolds/headers. We took the header bolts out and just pushed them down and out of the way.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for!

You don't have to remove them completely you can just push them down. However to do this with some brands of headers you will have to get the car up to a decent height - like a bit higher than ryno ramps, to get enough clearance (depends on the header design).
