Default new engine and tune

i just built an 347 ls motor with a patriot 225-229 580-590 lift cam atock ls6 heads and headers with arp head and rodbolts ls7 lifters my question is how many miles do i need to put on it before i get it tuned on the dyno and will it hurt anything to be riding around without it not tuned

If you have good self control it probably won't hurt driving around until it gets tuned but one hard pull not tuned could easily pop your motor depending on how far off the tune is. My suggestion would be to get it tuned asap by a reputable tuner in our area and be done with it. Let me know if you need advice on a good tuner, I know a few to stay away from and at least one I would trust with my own car that is within 75 miles of Albany.
