Default Head Gasket repair? Good or is it not?

Ok, so i just got my car back together and running. and it runs alright, but it feels like it doesnt have as much horsepower, ya know? like compression wise. im trying to get ahold of a compression tester from autozone. If i do end up having a blown head gasket i got the stuff in the orange can from kragen. Is that stuff gonna hurt my motor or kill my water pump or cooling system? Whats the deal with that stuff? I did a search and nothing came up on that. Should i use it or not? Of course its for a temporary fix until i can save up for another motor. My dads friend has an LQ9 for sale but i dont have the money right now. I just need this thing to last me for the next couple months, ya know? Can i use it? Has anyone used it?

If you have a bad head gasket - fix it. You'll do more damage than the time you'll save doing it the way you describe.
