Default magic stick 3 help !!!

Hey guys i don't go on much just pop in & read & go but i would really appreciate any help you can give A.S.A.P. I have a 2000 ls1 with 90/90 fast, LT,ory no cats & m6 410 rear, not a DD & monster stage4 clutch. plus Patriot LS6 243 heads 2.02 1.57 650"spring. Question i need to make a choice fast due to my car is in the shop now. will the MS3 cam work or will there be PTV clearance problems ? if so how about the torquer v3 or v2 ? my goal is to get the sickest cam best power gains i can ( please help me out ) trying to save the money that it would take to have the heads checked.

MS3 *should* work but there have been people with PTV clearance problems. My MS4 left very small eyebrows in the pistons.

With stock pistons I dont think it will fit with those larger valves. They are not much bigger, but do take away any extra clearance. What size headgasket you have on? and any milling done to heads?

Just go with the 2.00/1.55 valves. There's not much of a performance difference if any between the 2.00/1.55 valves and the 2.02/1.57 valves. The 2.00/1.55s will have no PTV issues.

The first thing you'll need to do is check your valve drop (distance the valve can travel from the seat until it touches the piston at TDC). That will give us a better idea of what kind of room you have to work with. I would not bet my lunch money on having a certain amount of clearance with those heads (not consistent enough).

Give us a call once you have an idea on valve drop and we can make an educated recommendation. My gut says the Torquer would clear fine, but you always want to measure to CYA on these things. It's less hassle to check this than to buy and replace the entire engine because of a hunch!

I seriously doubt you'll get a MS camshaft to fit. My gut is a Torquer V3 would. You could always order the V3, and install it in the block & check p/v. If by some chance it didn't clear we could exchange you no problem.
