Heads make all the difference! Know from experience my 408 with all the supporting mods only made 478 rwhp with open cutout. Changing to TFS 235's!

plan on big bucks....you will need tfs 215 milled to bump c/r to mid 11's a mid 230+ cam 600 lift, meziere, u/d, fast 92 intake, y/t rockers....yup plan on spending some bucks...ECS has a package for the 346 that has made 500+ in a vette and others have had similar results....

Im @ 451RWHP 432 RWTQ

If i milled my heads to .030, ported the heads, ported my FAST, and added an electric water pump, Id be really close and lose no current drivablity

Dude... you are really backwards...

Up puting my old setup for sale, CARTEK 4X 243 H/C with all the bolt ons, made 507RWHP and ran 10.32 @ 132 in a 3300lbs M6, but if you don't want to spend $2000 on heads, you are really not in the right frame of mind to make 500RWHP...

HP costs money. If you want to keep it cheap. Put a 125wet shot on it. You will see your 500HP "cheap"

You will not see 500HP to the wheels if you don't want to spend money.

I agree, if you are not willing to drop at least 3000 on a h/c/i then you dont want 500 rwhp from your 346. not trying to be rude just telling you the truth

Im 425 at the wheels now..I know its ganna cost a bit to get to 500 to the tire. Im not ganna be mad or upset if its short of that. Im just wanting more power with my set up with out giving up driveabilty..I think my 243s ported or buy some ported would get me pretty close..It was just a thought to see what its ganna take to get close. I dont mind spending the money if Iv got it and were it needs to be spent.

I really dont think too many of you read how much I have now and whats done to it..

For all that didnt read..
Magic Stick 4
LS6 Heads
Fast 90/90
Long tubes
made 424/370..

Ported heads, ported fast..should be 440-460 (on a dynojet) I would think..thats with out touching the bottom end..stroke it and I know Id be damn close..

425 to the wheels now..Would a set of PRCs and fly cut the pistons do it, but while Im there..I might as wheel stroke the damn thing right..
Your car should be a bit quicker now, no offense but im a running a much smaller cam and make only 401/377 with S60 M6 and run 11.4XX spinning to a 1.64 60'. Whats you best 1/4 pass todate?

I make 404/35* something on a Mustang style dyno..I think my cam choice wasnt the best for Racing. Makes good dyno numbers but doesnt have the tq I need to get out of the hole. My best to date has been 11.71 @118 on Radials with a 1.7* 60ft. Now with the bias plys Iv got 1.63s 1.64s 60s a lot but only running 1/8 mile or in 100*+ temps. Have had issues with clutch sticking to the floor A LOT latly. Also lost a lot of MPH with the bias plys..thinking I have an issue with the engine also, Cutting out a lot up top hopefully this week I get time to work on the issues!

If you need some extra help diagnosing the engine''issues'' you should contact speedtweekers, he has a pretty good tuner they use.

The thing you don't understand is a 383 is bore limited...... It will make MORE tq. and EARLIER and make for a faster car but peak RWHP on a similiar 346 will not beat it by much....

It is the reason I decided to do a 403 over a 383..... I wanted the bigger bore.
