Default pushrod/ lifter preload

factoring in a 7.425 pushrod i come up with .066 preload on the intake and .0543 preload on the exhaust (different size base circles). is this enough or should i go up another .025 to a 7.450?

what lifters are u running? are those preloads an average you got from measuring all of them or did you just measure one of each.

factory lq4 lifters thats the preload i got, averaged per intake and exhaust seperate and then added .025 to that number for a total of a 7.425 pushrod. should i order 7.45s instead for more preload? i'm not sure on the spec, or what you guys run. guess i could check shopkey in the morning.

someone correct me if I'm giving bad info. ls7 lifters like anywhere from .060 to .080 preload with a max of around .100 preload. I would think that those numbers would also be in the ballpark for lifters for an lq4. I think that if you have .066 preload on the intake side your good, the .0543 should be fine, unless you get two sets of pushrods, two different lengths to get a bit more preload on the exhaust. your not going to hurt anything by running the .0543 on the exhaust side, imho, but it may give you a little more noise.
