Default Pre-Oil Timing Chain

Do I need to put some fresh oil on the new timing chain before buttoning up the front cover? Just curious if this is good for better wear and start-up?

I've always soaked my chains in oil for about 15 minutes, prior to final assembly. Fills the rollers and links. Dean

I droped mine in a QT of oil for 10 min as well. I also take a QT of oil and dump it all over the rocker arms and down the push rod holes to the lifters/cam before I put my rocker covers back on the engine.

Well the chain is installed so I will just squirt some oil on there for good measures. Yeah, plan on oiling up the rockers and PRs before I seal up the valve covers too, thanks guys.
