Question Oil Pump Mods?

Hi,
Are there any other mods to do to an oil pump other than porting the inlet? How about checking the clearance of the cover to the rotor? Does anyone grind pressure relieve passages in the cover like on a SBC?

Thanks,
Steve

Yes, you can totally blueprint the entire assembly including the gears. You can even go to a lightweight shaft. There are some knowledgable folks out there like Lingenfelter and Katech. They can offer advice. If you know how to do alot of these enhancements yourself, and you sound like you might, then you could do the same to the these. Just use good judgement. You'll need some way to error prroof your work and test it. Good Luck.
