Default Cutoff at WOT

My car is consistently shutting down shortly after reaching WOT it's a hard shutdown like it runs out of fuel. There is usually an associated flame thrower affect out of the cutout. It's quite violent in terms of bang. I already know it has burned my exhaust valves I have confirmed this with a leakdown test...

Does this sound like a fueling issue or is it related to the valve damage the car runs fine until it starts putting power down. After the engine dies it has to prime again before it will start which makes ne think it's fuel.

I'm running dual intank pumps it has always been more than adequate fueling until now. The first time this happened I was running less than half a tank and I assumed the bucket was dry. It happened again with a full tank though.

I will be replacing the valves but I need to solve this issue first if I can.

Any Help?

How old is the fuel filter? Sure sounds like a fuel shortage to me leaning out backfiring and shutting down. It would be real helpfull if you could monitor fuel pressure thru a pull.

I recently had the hose right off the walbro start leaking, causing low fuel pressure. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge ?

I do have a fuel pressure gauge not one that I can read in the seat though. Idle fuel pressure is fine I'm certain it's bleeding off at WOT.

I checked my fuel pickup today there are two walbros crammed in there both are pumping and the lines are all connected so I'm going to start going down the fuel line next. The fuel filter is basically a new magnaflow.

When you shut it off, does the pressure hold, or drop quickly ? I assume that the pumps have check valves.
Guess you're not in PA ?

I know this may sound stupid and I am sure you have checked it, but double check your ground connection on the back side of drivers head. Also check altenator wire conection. I have seen those do some freaky ****.
