L33? Hello Everyone
I have been on this forum for some time, I currently Own a 2000 Camaro SS LS1 with an STS
But what brings me onto the forum tonight is I just purchased a 2006 Silverado 2nd hand, I was reviewing the RPO codes tonight and notice my Truck has the L33 Option,
The 5.3L Aluminum engine with 15 more HP than the regular 5.3L
from what i can tell the Timing and compression are more agressive on this engine,
There is no marking information that indicates that this motor runs on either Regular or Premium fuel, can someone shine some light on this for me, I assume at nearly 10:1 (9.9:1 I believe is actual) ompression this engine should run something like 91 octane?
I pulled the tune off the truck and compaired it to a Stock Cast Iron 5.3L and thought the Tune was right out of whack but apparently after further research the tune was stock for a L33
Please give me some information on this topic.
