ported ls6's vs ported trickflows

hey, i was wondering what is the difference between a set of good ported ls6 heads and a set or ported trickflows or afr's. the trickflows/afr's are a lot more expensive, but if you are getting them both ported, what are the difference's?

flow numbers, chamber design, runner design. They are all together different castings. The TFS, AFR's, ET's are all just a better head all around. That being said ported LS6 heads are a far cry better then stock 853 or 241 castings. If your looking for a set of heads, ive got a set of cnc ported stage II's for sale. Just PM me if your looking.

My opinion:
TFS
Ported LS6
AFR

I have seen all three in action and thats the order dyno numbers came in as well as the races..just my two cents.

The LS6 is a great set up for a budget build, and worked on by either AI or TEA they will flow close to AFRs. TFS are a monster all of their own. They can make any build perform extraordinary.

the ls6 243 heads will perform better. i would just buy a used set of 243s for a couple hundred and do the h/c at the same time

tfs will always have higher resale value compared to ported stockers.
i would never pass up a set of tfs over ported stockers if was within budget

TFS are GREAT just realize you have to run aftermarket rockers with them that are in the $400 range or more..... I wouldn't hesitate to run AFR either. The T4P Joe Mendelis 243's will run with these heads too. Only saw one set on a car but WOW best 243's out there....

Has Cary (old ETP heads) come out with his new heads????? I am sure they will kick ass!!!

thunder has been running stock rockers on TFS for 2 to 3 years now without a problem

and all aftermarket heads really need to use roller rockers with the bronze guides...
