Question

Mounting block to engine stand, what bolts?

Since it looks like my block is a good core, I want to get it off the crate and get it on an engine stand to further inspect it.

What are the specs of the bolts that hold it on? I need 4 correct? What grade of bolts should I get? Home Depot or Lowes should have these right?

I always use GRADE 8 bolts for this. They will be in the specialty bolt section separare from the other bolts

What size though, you can't use the tranny bolts, there not long enough...

I believe they are 10x40x1.25 metric. Any grade will be okay for an engine stand...

Take a stock bolt with you to make sure you get the right thread. Thats what I did and it is for sure a metric thread.
