Default how to order bearings

im in the process of building a iron 408, the motor originally had two spun main bearing so i got a line hone. my machienist has moved so i can't contact him, how can i tell what bearings to order?

I think he's asking how he's supposed to tell what size bearings he needs. In which case you'd need to bolt the caps on and mic the journal size with no bearings. Check around for the standard specs and compare your measurements. They sell bearings accordingly depending on how much he had to take out of the hole. You can use T-Gauges with a micrometer or actually use a small bore gauge with a dial indicator.
