Default what to change on high mileage engine

I'am picking up an 139, 000 mile engine that runs good. My question is, should i leave it be since its problem free or should i change, timing chain, oil pump, lifters, valve springs.

I already have, comp timing chain,
ported ls6 oil pump
yellow new valve springs and zo6 cam
and can buy some ls7 lifters
also have 10,000 mile 241 heads from a 04 GTO

what do you guys think, might do the spring since they might be weak from all the miles

After a 100K I think a compression test is in order. Since its not your engine and you don't know the track record of maintenance, I would do all the mentioned above just to have piece of mind. Therefore if your compression test is good and you choose to do a cam swap down the road then you don't have to worry except for maybe springs that will handle your new cam, push rods, and maybe a set of new stocker rockers to work with a new cam if you so choose to go that rout.

My car had 155,000 when I swapped the stock cam for a texas speed MS3 cam.

Do you guys think i should leave these old parts with that high of miles on it. Or should i put a new pump, chain , and valve springs in the engine.

id do a compression test first like 02c5 suggested, unless you have plans to build the motor anyways

If you're going ahead and changing the cam, then yes, I would use your new parts. But I don't believe the 241 heads will give you much more power, unless you have a 98. Then even more parts are needed.

compression test was done and all in the 185-190 range. Why i ask is i need this engine to last till i build another. I just spun a bearing in my 99 block with 04 gto heads with new yellow zo6 springs.

If you guys think i would be better off putting my stuff i still have on then i'll do that but if you think those 139,000 mile part are fine still then i'll wait .

here is what i have to swap from my other engine, and yes the engine that iam getting is a 98 ls1.

comp timing chain
ported ls6 oil pump
02 zo6 cam
04 241's from a gto with new zo6 springs , very mild port
i have 30,000 lifters stock but could buy new ones
