Thats what I'm shooting for with mine. It will be a stock longblock LS6 besides the heads being stage 2.5s from PRC, and having ARP hardware. That means stock LS6 cam too. My '02 LS1 intake and some good exhaust and a tune and I have no doubt that it will see over 400 to the wheels.

400+ Wheel Horse and torque is easily done cam only.

How about an 04 LS6 for 3190 + shipping? 400 HP to start with. Not fully complete, but valve cover to oil pan. you just provide intake and accessories and its done. Brand new, not reman.

we can change the cam/springs to whatever you wish for will under your target of 5k

Oh, and to give you an idea, I'll have less than 2500 in mine, and that includes buying a blown up core with transmission, harness and accessories. I did do a little bit if horse trading as well, but you can go over 400 very easily for half that cost.

You can put together a killer stroker motor for 5k....do some research...
