if your on a budget go take a look at texas-speed.com
the have prc stage 2.5 5.3l heads for a great price and are very popular and make great power
they also have ls6 heads for cheap
or if money is no object call up trick flow or afr

Are you planning on running boost or n2o? I would go with the 243's if you want to stick with N/A.

I would pick up a set of 243s on ebay they usually go for about $400 and have some one like TS, AI or TEA do the work. You will not be disappointed. My heads where $400 and Advanced Induction did all the CNC for just over $1K I did provide everything springs, retainers locks and valves.

Because I have then with comp 921 springs, retainers, locks and the ls6 valves, no where am I going to find that for $1400. The springs set was from my last H/C package (5K miles) and the ls6 valves i got cheap at rockauto.com. They sell all stock equipment very cheap and the LS6 valves are considered stock pieces of equipment. NO ONE IS GOING TO TOUCH THEIR PRICES.
