The other day I was passing this grandpa on the highway. I dropped to 4th and started accelerating. (I'm guessing here) when i got to around 4500+ RPM, It kinda bogged down, lost alot of power and sounded terrible. I shifted to 5th right away and it went away.
Scared the poop outa me...Any ideas on what might be happening?

Edit: This also happened in 2nd as I was entering the freeway @ high RPM once too.

start by check your valve springs and your spark plugs.

Valve springs!!! That's gettin serious...I hope its not that bad. Plugs sound like a good idea. i didn't see your reply earlier.

I'd check your fuel filter first. That's easy and cheap to change.
