Default What valve spring is this?

Can anyone tell by looking what kind of valve spring this is? I bought my car with the new heads/cam already installed and these springs. This one broke and I need to replace it and am hoping to shed some light on what they are. TIA.

BTW - Any reccomendations on which ones to go with? I have a 224/230 .581/.572 cam with stage II heads.

kind of hard to tell by just looking at it, not many single springs with dampers out there.

if you want a single spring then look into the 918's or manleys. you want duals then go with some revs, comps 921, cranes, or PP duals.

They are not 918's,cranes or Manley's.Haven't worked with those before.
If 1 breaks your better off changing them all.

Hmmm, thanks for the input guys.

The retainer saved my a$$ on this one so I know I want a single with retainer or a double. Guess I'll be spending a bit more $ than I orginally thought.

I'd say replace all of them. It's cheap insurance. If one broke, the others might as well also.

Looks like a pioneer stock style s.b. chevy spring, all the Isky 295-D I have seen have a gold stripe. I would check the pressure on the good ones and that will give you an idea on what rate per inch you have to narrow the search down on what you have.

The EX 616's have a bright, bright red stripe and the 615's have a black stripe I think.
