turbo v6's have the ability to run about mid 13's on low boost (6-7 psi) and 12's on moderate boost (12-15 psi) with the right mods, there is a guy on my board and LS1tech that has a red v6 bird in the 8's... his name on FBv6 i believe is HighHP, but im not sure if he uses the same name on here

get ahold of tiago on the boards. I know he used to have one of the first v6 turbo cars and I think he got his running low 10's

Also you can look on firebirdV6.com

Ya know, I love Grand Nationals, and respect the hell out of them..
BUT..
A friend of mine bought an 87, with 55k on it..
Stock, 'cept for a fuel pump and a K&N..

He took me for a ride, and I was NOT impressed at all.
I was expecting this hellishly fast car, and it didn't even
put me back in my seat. I swear to god it didn't seem any
faster on the highway than my old crown victoria taxi!!

honestly man, look at it this way. you are driving an fbody either way, there is a lot more aftermarket for the v8, why spend more money on a v6 fbody when you can spend less money on the v8 fbody and have a faster car? not to mention sounds cooler..
