Default help: problem after track run

I took my 02 z28 to the track last friday to see how she would run since i haven't run her since june. i was running on street tires and about 2 weeks ago i had a yank 3600 stall put in. After making a new best time of 12.2 @ 112.5 with a soft launch --street tires again-- i figured since i had minimal wheel spin that i could launch harder the second time. i got a little greedy and did a full throttle launch and my car just sat there burning away the stock tires. i gave up on the run and took my foot off the gas but the right tire just keep burning away. after the run the right tire was completely bald and the left one was barely touched. Now here comes my problem and question-- after i pulled off the track my abs and traction control unit both quit working for about ten minutes. it came back on and i left the track. on the way to work saturday i noticed every time i turned right that there was a banging noice. at work we realized that the back right tire was locked with the left-- almost like posi track. so that every time i turned, the back right tire tried to spin at the same speed which was making the wheel bang and even try to lift of the ground so it could spin. one of my co-workers seems to think it is something to do with the rearend. i have the stock 10 bolt with 23000 miles on it. i took it to the shop but haven't heard back yet so i was wondering if anyone knew what the problem is. Sorry about the long post and thanks in advance.

i know i would eventually need a 12 bolt but i hoped to put it off till i saved up some money. i talked to the shop today and they said there is a whining sound still so they are going to open the differential cover and see what's up
