Default Starting engine without tranny or clutch?

Hey all,

Long story short, I won't have a clutch for a few more days, but the engine is pretty much ready to go. I'd like to fire it up and heat cycle it a couple times. The flywheel is bolted down, so the starter has something to engage.

Any problem with starting the engine with no tranny? I've got poly motor mounts, so hopefully it wouldn't shake around hard enough to be a problem.

Its like an Engine Dyno if the engine is well secured I do not see a problem either, I would not be reving the **** out of her though.

I don't plan to do anything but let it idle and warm up most likely. I won't have the blower on the car, which it's tuned for, so it probably wouldn't run worth a damn if I goosed it, anyway.

Anyone see any problems with doing this?

Shouldn't be a problem.. I have done it before. Just make sure wveryting is secure.. You don't want parts flying around!!!!
