valve stems wtf need help

Default valve stems wtf need help

so i got my cam in and im doing my new valve springs, and im putting new seats and retainers. i ordered a set of 16 valve stem seals(.500 x 8mm) susposedly for an 2001 ls1. but on it now are the black and brown ones. i got one side done, all the new stems, springs, reatiners but just noticed that there were 2 different sizes on before. did i get the wrong ones? this sux, cause i need the car running by the weekend.

right here is what i got from thunder racing, can i put these on all the valves?

161-VS-UV5001-EO LSx Valve Stem Seals, .500 X 8mm, set of 16 (Valve Stem seals will need to be replaced when using the Comp 26921-16 Valve Springs or the Comp 26925-16/26926-16 Valve Springs.)

Not sure what you are asking. The GM seals were two colors. Black for intake and brown for exhaust. Some aftermarket seals are all one color, for example brown. If they are from TR and the only question is color, as long as they are the correct size you should be OK. Check with TR if you are unsure.

they are all black, so one size will fit all then?

Sizes are all the same. The original GM seals were brown on exhaust because they are exposed to more heat and the rubber compound is different.

oh okay, i saw that the originals were 2 different colors and didnt know if i needed different ones for intake and exhaust but i guess im good then.

Not sure, just read their web site and found this. I would call them in the morning or PM Shane as maybe he is on the forum tonight if you need an answer right away.
