LQ4 HP estimate What do you think have 04 lq4 with stock fbody cam for now tsp 2.5 5.3 heads for compression long tubes and fully ported BBK intake.What Do you think it will have also if any one has any cam suggestions let me know
I would guess that it would make right around 340rwhp. The heads arent going to help one bit right now with a stock cam and that auto tranny is gonna kill the HP numbers too compared to a 6spd. My setup is very similar. It's a LQ4 bottom end with unported 5.3 heads with LS1 valves installed and a G5X3 114lsa cam. I've not had it on a dyno yet but it is maxing out some stock injectors like something awful with an upgraded fuel pump. I think you have a good foundation and just need a cam to really make use of that setup. My cam suggestion would be what I have... the X3 cam is amazing and every car I've tuned with an LG cam has done nothing but perform! If you wanted to go a different route I vote to go to Vengeance and get them to custom spec a nice cam to taylor to your needs. They have some wicked cam tricks down at that shop and understand these LSx motors better than most!
I think you might put down 355 to 360 with a spot-on tune. (I'm guessing you have a lid and decent cat-back). The ported intake, long tubes, and TSP worked 5.3 heads should add some nice power. If you were making around 310 rwhp with the stock setup, I could see a 45 horsepower gain.
