So according to my data, what heads would benefit me the most? Everyone recommends the patriot 5.3Ls and 5.7L's , but no one says wy and what the difference between the 2 is.

AFR's will make the most power with your setup...by FAR.
The way I see it if you're gonna drop over $1500 on heads, might as well do it right the first time & get the good stuff.

Otherwise I'd recomend Jantzer's stuff.

93PONY, what are you basing your comment off of? Who has installed AFRs to date and made ANY power?? Maybe Im missing something here....

Mike, The only major difference between the 5.7s and 5.3s is compression. The 5.3s undecked will yield about 10.8:1 compression.

I know what AFR is capable of & I know the inside scoop on what's coming from their LS1 heads. All in due time everyone will how they perform. & since it's only matter of weeks till the first set of heads are tested. & since it's wet & cold out, there's no real harm in waiting for the results before deciding what heads to buy.

I still doubt they will outperform the patriot ls6 stage 2's. These heads have produced 450hp on many applications for well under 2k.

Why be such a pessimist about the AFR heads? Do you know something we don't? Apparently Shaun does ("I know the inside scoop on what's coming from their LS1 heads"), or I don't think he would have commented as he did. Ultimately, time will tell.

If the AFR LS heads are anything like their Ford heads, this will be a great thing for the LS world.
