Question what is the compression of this engine?

I am unfamiliar on how to calculate compression or the variables that actually affect the compression. Please inform me and let me know what the compression on this setup would be.

346 Ls1 block, bored honed .010" Ross pistons w/ rings
Stg2 heads, 2.02 / 1.57 valves
Cometic head gaskets

Any other values affect compression?

Here are the things that you need to get a good estimate of compression ratio.

- Bore size
- Stroke
- Combustion chamber size
- piston height
- piston dome or dish cc
- head gasket bore
- head gasket compressed thickness

If you know those you can get a very good estimate of the compression ratio. With the stuff you listed if would be very difficult to guess.

This site has the most extensive list of calculators I've ever run across. Further down the page are calcs for just about anything you can think of.
