A th400 has different gearing then the 4l60. First gear is less numerical therefore making it calmer etc. I wouldnt say it makes it quicker though. Less expensive to build and easier to deal with for what I want to do.

3400 with me in the car. I weigh 155.

So i should probably go with a smaller stall if im going to spray, i think a 3600 should do it. So i should hit FTI up for a converter?

Also what i was looking at is that yall are running stock 241's im wondering what yall cars would run with ported 243's, thats what i plan on running.

But also i would like to run 150 shot, i got to keep in mind this is my daily driver, and its just a weekend car!

I think i might look into that double tune that you can install. That would be better to get it tuned for all motor and nitrous. Also another question whats the power diffrence between the 230/230 and the 228/230? is there really any much of a gain?

Yes I would give fti a call about the converter but don't go in there with your mind made up about stall speed tell what your goals and combo is and he will male the stall speed worl for what you want. Stall speed is a small part in the whole equation.

We plan on porting a set of 243s ourselfs here soon but I expect to gain a little bit. Who knows for sure though.

I had the same cam with my stock ls1 with stage 2.5 5.3 heads and fast 92/92 in a stalled auto (3800rpm) and made 448hp to the wheels through full exhaust with highflow cats.

I've always seen it as 230/230, except that it comes in at more like 232 on the cam doctor (several comp lobes appear to run large). The reverse split is slightly more prominent when you compare durations at .200 lift - 154/151.
