Default HP Estimates?

What should a typical ls1 make with long tubes, stock exhaust, cut out, custom grind comp cam 610 lift(?), stock intake, tune, and lid make to the wheels? Will a ls6 intake make that much of a difference?

My buddy got his car back from straightline perf. this week. He made 365hp and 368 ft tq. His mods are: Pacesetter long tubes, stock exhaust with a cutout, slp lid, comp cam, high volume oil pump, upgraded fuel system. It seems like the car should be making more power then that. I guess they said he needs a new clutch, would this decrease the power. Stupid question but thought id throw it in there.

cam specs: 238/242 .600/.610 @ 112+2 LSA

I would expect a typical cam only Fbody with a decent size cam to make somewhere around the 400 mark. We recently had a small dyno day here in indy and a 2002 Z28 put down 407 cam only.

not necessarily. dynos vary in how much power they read. there are two local dynojets here in indy that my car read almost a 30 rwhp difference on. I think one is really generous and one is really stingey. also I believe mustang dyno's read lower b/c they put a load on the car. he should get the car to the track and see what it traps to get an idea if it is performing where it should be. dyno's are for tuning not racing. also the SOTP difference is a good indicator of how well a car is running.
