Default Comp cam lifters

What is the difference between the Comp Pro Magnum and the Comp High Energy Lifters? Theres only a $10 Dollar price difference.

Magnums are meant for higher rate springs I believe.

The Pro Magnum are the CompR lifter meant for higher rpm and higher rate springs

im using the 850-15 lifters with no problems. i asked about the compR lifters and the consensus was just stick with the gm oem ones.

There is another problem with the comp r is that you need adjustable rockers or a lot of patience.

So if I read this right, Pro-Mag's and "R's" are the same thing. Correct?

DITTO, amigo. I have always just used the stock ones and have had excellent results.

Say your originals had 62K on them. If you were pulling the heads for a swap, what would you do then? I don't have any reason to believe that one is going bad or anything...I just figured with the heads off and that many miles, I'd replace them.

Does that change your mind, or would you just leave them be? New for new, the cost of the "R's" is waaay less than stock ones (as you already know).

Id change them as I had one go bad on my H/C car at 48xxx miles.
