Couldnt find it in the faq's or anywhere else.
I am trying to find out the capacity and type of fluid for my 6-speed tranny on my 98 WS6.
I know it takes auto. fluid (Dex III? Can I get Dex IV?), but how much exactly? Just want to know so I dont buy too much or too little, or the wrong kind.

it holds 4 quarts and i personally use mobil 1 atf.

 

there is other stuff people use other than just dex

You can use GMs synchro-mesh which is some good stuff but super pricey. But unless your tranny is built/rebuilt and has the stock synchros, I wouldn't recommend synthetic. From what I was told by a sponsor that isn't on here anymore, it will slowly eat away at the stock synchros.
