i got a 6.0 block and was wondering if any of my ls1 out of my 2000 camaro will fit on the 6.0 block...and if so what would i need to get..i am wanting to get it running for now and do a cam swap later...will my tranny 4l60e fit on the 6.0.....basically what will i need to get it running...

 

Everything should fit. On my 6.0 L I have mostly LS1 parts. All the front accesories, oil pan, 6 speed trans, intake, fuel rails, injectors, are all LS1 style. The heads are interchangeable also. Trans bolt pattern is the same on all LSX blocks.

 

Everything's physically the same about the blocks, except for bore size. You'll also have to drill and tap a hole for the LS1 alternator bracket to work on the 6.0.

 

you can even use your stock crank if you want to, just get new bearings and clean it up at a minimum

 

If you don't feel secure about tapping the hole for the alternator, have the machine shop do it. If its off or angled its sucks a lot. But other than that everything is virtually the same. I'm doing the dame build right now at the house.
