Default Found this on my drain plug, pics inside

So I was changing my oil and found a few pieces of metal on my drain plug. Anyone know what this is?

Looks like u puked a rocker arm or two not usually a big deal just take the rocker arms off till u find the one(s) that are missing some needle bearings and replace. Those dont look like pieces of a bottom end bearing or anythingt.

I agree...doesn't look like any type of bottom end part...I'd do what he mentioned above...and then depending on what I find in there, I'd take the oil pan off if necessary to find the remainder of the parts, as well as to make sure the oil pump pickup is clean and in good shape still.

...plus it's worth cutting the new couple oil filters open just to make sure that you're not collecting any post damage glitter.

Those look like possible smashed rocker arm roller bearings, but I didn't think they normally got smashed?? I had a similar issue when my valve springs started breaking but looked a little different than that, here are what my springs looked like

Looks like the pieces of the side of the rocker arm, not the bearings themselves. I bet if you pull the valvecover off, you'll find the bearings laying in the head or down the pushrod holes.

I agree, looks like a piece of valve spring or rocker arm trunion piece to me. I would drive it anymore until you figure it out.

x2 on the valve spring. I found the same thing in my engine and haven't taken it apart yet. It looks like the very end of the winding on the valve spring, the part that sits on the head.

I pulled the valve covers and looked at the rocker arms & valve springs and didn't see anything wrong. I'm going to go ahead and take off the rockers and inspect them and then do the trunion upgrade.

The car makes power, revs high, and doesn't make any noises. I don't know what else to look at without further dis-assembly. It looks like a top end piece, not bottom end.

I inspected the rest of the valvetrain today and found the problem. A few of the inner valve springs are broken. This is on a AFR 8019 dual spring.
