Default leak down results

i had a leak down compression test done and the results were 25 to 28% on all cylinders. the motor has 110k on it and i'm not ready to tear it down yet. are these numbers terrible? would it make sense to do a cam only swap cause thats where i'm headed? let me know your thoughts guys, thanks.

Well, they good news is that your variation between cylinders is good, so the engine is wearing evenly. I'm betting it's all in the rings... but yeah, that's quite a bit of leakage. Should definitely be lower than this. 8-12 are respectable numbers to look for.

As far as putting a cam in, yeah, you just won't put up quite the power numbers that you should, but it shouldn't hurt anything as long as you do springs, pushrods, oil pump, etc... the stuff that needs swapped at the same time as the cam.
