Default 243s vs 317s

hey guys just trying figure out which would be better or cheaper to achieve atleast 10.5 compression for an lq9. would it be cheaper to mill the stock 317 heads or just slap some 243s on it.

thanks.

There very similar to ls6 heads, they have about the same casting & flow numbers. 317's have a 70-72cc chamber, good for dropping compression down for boost.

Moving to Internal.

Also, the 317's have a 71cc stock.

You would need to mill ~.014 from 317s (2cc) to achieve 10.5:1 SCR. So still giving you ample room for a decent size cam.
243s will give you 10.9>11:1
