Default Katech C5R chain

Will the rollermaster single gears work with the C5R chain. I do not want to use my old LQ9 gears.

Do you already have the katech chain or the rollermaster gears? I dont see why they wouldnt work. The other alternative is the LS2 chain or timing set. It works on the same applications.

Not sure on the Rollmaster, however I tried it on the JP Performance gears and it was not smooth and didn't feel right so in the end I didn't use it. If you don't need adjustability I would use the stock gears. If you do, Katech used to recommend the Cloyes setup with the chain.

PS::Rollmaster is owned by JP Performance but not sure if this would yield similar results as to what I found.

Are all those gears, minus the doubles, generally the same thickness? Mine felt just like the stock one did. hmmm.

Does anyone know where I can get a cloyes single setup for the LS1/2? The C5R chain was ordered yesterday so now I need to find some gears. I know the stock ones will work but I would prefer billet gears if I can find a set that match as well as the stock LS2. Thanks

Cloyes has them and any vendor who sells their products with have it. The Cloyes Hex-adjust comes with the LS2 chain, which you can sell to recoup some of your money.

The Comp LSx timing sets are re-boxed Cloyes Hex-a-just sets. I normally have them in stock. Let me know if you need one.

Thanks,
Shane
