Default Reassembly questions LS6

A few quick questions before I start putting this engine back together

Is it true that head bolts should not be re-used ?

Do I need to replace the o-rings on my BBK intake even though they look fine and the intake wasn't leaking ?

A friend mixed my lifters up (compcams roller lifters). Do I need to replace them all now ?

If I can re-use the lifters do I need to resoak them in oil before the install ?

Thanks

The head bolts should NOT be reused.

O-rings are cheap but the risk associated with the reuse is small.

I would replace the lifters. Reinstalling them in the wrong place will cause new wear but more importantly pulling the heads just to replace a bad lifter is a lot of work compared to the price of new parts.

X2

Do not reuse GM OEM head bolts or crank pully bolt, they are tourque to yeild bolts.

I would replace the intake "O" ring gaskets, I reused mine in the past and have had vacume leaks. So now I spend the $25 for some new felpro gaskets. I'd rather spend $25 then pull the intake twice per job.

The lifters are 50/50 in my book, I agree with "darkman" it could cause more wear but probly not much. Either way I would soak them in oil (new or your old ones)

Head bolts are Torque to Yield, they should be replaced.
Intake O-Rings will be fine, I reuse mine.
Roller lifters can be reused in different holes.
I've soaked them and I've let them pump up on their own, both worked fine.
