Low oil?

Low oil? I have an Lq4 in my 01 camaro and 862 heads. I started my car this morning and my low oil light came on. The more i looked at it i think its burning it. there is a faint smell cumming form the exhaust and faint bit of smoke.
So on the ls motors is there any common problem with these motors burning oil? And is it due to the valve seals, rings, or something else?

The block has around 90,000 give or take and the heads i realy have no idea but before i put them on the block i had new valve seals put in and the shop i sent them to said he had to regrind 3 of the valves to get them to seat properly. I have put about 15-20 thousand on the motor with the current setup.
on the just on start up idk i havent really driven the car much i plan on getting it out and running around for a bit to get it warmed up and checking it out in the morning.
