Default stroker kit?

ive got a few ls1's and some people say 383 and some say 408..? im not realy sure what can be done with a ls1 for a stroker kit? any help and info please

383 with a 4.000" crankshaft, 393ci with 4.100 crank, 396 ci with 4.125" crank

bore size you're limited to 3.905"

what do i get the cranks from? im new to the ls.. im used the old small block where i just get a crank from s sb400 and get some nice 6" rods and build a nice 350block up... so im alil confused on the ls's

The 408 would need a 6.0 block. If i were you id save up and buy a built short block. If not you can get the crank, rods, and pistons from any of the sponsors on this site.

alot of sponsors sell complete Kits, I would look into Texas Speed and performance kits, I have spend alot of money with them and they have always been super.

On a side note one benefit of going with a 383 which is what I have done, is it is about 80LBS lighter than a 408. Keeping the aluminum block. Unless you go the 408 with an LS2 block,,, $$$$
