Default Rebuild help

Im picking up an 02 block from my friends z28 which has 32xxx on it . He got a little nitrous happy and ended up spinning a rod bearing . My plan is to do alittle rebuild and upgrade it alittle bit , so far my plans are :
LS2 timing chain
Ported Ls6 oil pump
ARP LS1 Hex Head Bolt Kit
Speed inc. 25% underdrive pulley
LS1 Felpro Engine Gasket Rebuild Kit
Patriot .650 Daul Spring Kit

My question is i have an idea of what cam i want to go with which is a custom one , 238/240 600.600 112 lsa , anything thoughts on a cam that size? Also what type of push rods and lifters should i get? Lastly any other suggestions that should do ?My goal is 400-425 wheel n/a and 500-600 wheel on nitrous. This will be a weekend car. I am in college still so i dont have a big budget and my goal is to have this ready to swap by the beginning of next year. Btw the car is a 6 speed if that matters. Thanks in advance.

hav almost the same type cam as you. Its been on the care for 3 years no problem, Make sure you get some solid pushrods and som comp cams race lifters or the zo6 lifters. A good set of headers intake with your cam and of course a good tune.
