Default Need a idea for nitrous motor.

Ok I am looking at getting a Camaro with high mileage. I am planning on pulling the motor going .30 over and going with some forged pistons and H beam rods. Leaving stock crank, all arp studs. What idea I am looking for is what head cam setup? I am looking at the Texas Speed 2.5 5.3 heads with there 603/609 duration cam. I will have a LS6 intake, and not sure on injectors. I am wondering what is the best head cam package for spray. Car will be streetable and work good on the street. Please let some input roll.

you cant go .030 over on a ls1 block

The LS1/LS6 cylinders can not be bored .30 over they can only be hone approximately .007 or slightly more. Most guys like myself have a 3.905 bore after the cylinder hone. Your cam selection is ? 603/609 is the lift and not the duration of the cam,so what is the duration? If money is no object then either AFR or TFS 215's would be my choice of heads. The best cam depends on the overall set up once known...have a vendor spec out the cam for you.

ok, money will be a object in this instance. here are the two cam shaft selections I am looking at
Magic Stick V.4 239/242, .649"/.609 Magic Stick V.3 237/242 .603/.609
for a nitrous application dont you want a largerr duration?
Also the heads I was looking at were these.
PRC LS6 Stage 3 Ported Heads <these will flow around 320 intake and 225 exhaust or
PRC 220cc 5.3L Stage 2.5 CNC Ported Heads <should flow 310 intake and 220 exhaust

It says the stage 3 LS6 heads are for big cube motors though. Thanks for the info on the bore aswell.

Also I was noticing for a little extra money I could get a entire rotating assy. Would it be smarter to up the displacement?
