Can you have them call me at 763-477-9272???
I have this for a phone number???

Telephone Info
Phone: (330) 634-2155

We have never seen a TEA head. Or have any contact with them. I understand busy, but at some point................ I have left friendly messages, and tried to be civil but a phone call back would be great.

I don't think Randy has bashed them except for maybe once. If I had tried to contact a company that many times, I would be upset too. I have emailed TEA several times and have called them and they have replied within two days.

Randy pm'd me asking about TEA and how to contact them. I believe he is being truthful, from what I know, about contacting them.

Hmmm I'm not sure where those calls were going, but I did talk to Randy this morning and from what he told me I do not believe the heads are out of our shop. They have no logo, no workorder# stamped in them, no inv # etc. Looks like somebody got taken. Also for what it's worth the first message I honestly received from him was at 3:43 yesterday afternoon. I got back to him at 10:30 this morning. We are very busy right now and I am short staffed in the office but I'm here and working. FYI, if somebody is selling something that we supposedly built make sure they can back it up with an invoice and flowsheet before you shell out good money for some 200 cfm junk!

Good to see TEA in here posting. Mike, without highjacking the thread, do you guys put some sort of markings or stamp on heads you port? Thanks.

I was told that they engrave their name on the sides and also stamp a work order number on them. These heads don't have that kind of treatment at all.

Thumbs up

Sorry I didnt realize this was still going... It's embarrasing to say I dont even know whats in my car-but I cant do anything about it now. BUT... lesson learned. I dont need a race car-and randy/Doug know that... I want a car that turns heads, hauls ***, and sounds MEAN... The couple times it felt like it actually gave me eveything it had (which was like twice)-It felt amazing. Im more than excited to see what (hopefully) a few more ponies and a LOT more tq does for me.Needing New lifters sucks...but its all part of the game. DRM saved my *** once again.. and will therefore be getting my (hopefully) less rat-fu**** vehicles in the future. Crossing my fingers for close to 400hp/tq! Thanks again guys!

Sorry Brother for the late reply on the update. The car left our hands a couple weeks ago already. The car runs well, makes damn good power for the cam and less then ideal heads 390 to the wheels with a 224 cam. I spoke with pokerfreak on the phone the day after and he was happy with the way it came out. "My next car I'm bring it straight out there"

Hey Brother what are you doing May 22-23?

Wow, imagine if Randy spent as much time tuning that car as he does replying on this forum, that car would be running top notch...

390rwhp is good for that setup and an unlocked converter though..

How much did the low end improve with the 224? IMO the cam he had in it with real TEA heads would have been strong despite what someone said.

Did you ever find out what heads were actually on it?

About 50 RW Torque. The old cam was a POS. There was three lobes going out on it already after a so few miles. It could have happened when they crashed the valves or lack of heat treat, or ......... The cam was not what the customer thought, it was much larger and the LSA was closer to 110 then the 114. 111 LSA to be exact. With 7-8 degrees more intake then what it was supposed to be.........

No idea who did the heads, the compression was close-now at 11 to 1, they flowed just ok, no bent valves, no major issues so the customer had us put them back on.

That's the great thing about the internet. You can act like you know what you are talking but actually don't.

BIR is having a "street" drag race that weekend. I will be up there for the NASA Road Racing. MY wife and I are going to do lunch for our customers and other GM guys and gals. I have a 20 pound beef brisket that needs eating. If you are going to be up there great, if not I will tell you how good it is later

Plus I can give you a ride in a real car 1.9 G under braking into turn 3 on old tires and a cold day.
