Default Shipping for a bare block

Planning on shipping my Lq9 to Katech in MI. Called a local freight company and they said $376 and thats with a business discount(50% off). Does this sound reasonable?

No, sounds a bit high. I just shipped an ls1 bare block in a rubbermaid tote for $100 for about the same distance.. maybe a little more for me. Yes there is a weight difference but not $276 dollars worth. Ask Katech to issue a call tag as well, their business account will get you a discount. We used UPS but the thing only weighed 125 lbs, not sure what the LQ9 weighs?

Wow. Yeah I will def call jason at katech and get a call tag. The LQ9 is about 100lbs heavier than the LS1. I thought the quote sounded a bit steep. I also didnt even consider UPS as they are usually always way high. Might be something to consider. Thanks!
