Default Ls1 to 6.0 internals ?

quick post just wondering i took my ls1 block out of the camaro and getting ready to do a cam heads intake swap on it had a friend who bought a 6.0 motor took out all of the internals ( crank , rods, pistons) and offered em to me for free i just pay for machine work ? my question is one will it work with my ls1 block or do i have to get a 6.0 block ? and is it worth the time to even change em or have it done? parts are free just wondering before i put everything back together my new set up is in my sig ( not yet installed)

Crank and rods should be the same as what you have in your ls1 (back end of crank might be slightly different depending on year) so they won't give you any gains, but its nice to have spare parts just in case.

Pistons are made for a larger bore (4.00) and won't fit.
